ARTIST TALKS
Saturday, March 30, 2019, 7 p.m.
quitch, Untere Donaulände 10, Linz
The artists Isabella Auer, Karin Ferrari and Bernhard Garnicnig were in a conversation with Dagmar Schink.
There are fluid transitions between digital, real and public spaces, where friction takes place. It crumbles at the interfaces. As an artist, how do you find your way in this tangle of attributions, categorizations and the melting pot of digitalization? What things need to be considered and where does the network become a hindrence? How do the possibilities of digital work processes influence the processes and statements of the artworks, and is there a shift in their reception as a result? To what extent does art still distinguish between the virtual world and reality? These and other questions were discussed at the Artist Talks.
